Middle Bass Island Nature Photos - July/August 2005 pictures by Barb Farley, Mike Gora and Butch Hayes
The peacocks are still on the island, and have babies this year. There are at least three young ones. but we have not managed a group picture yet.
The snake is a harmless fox snake. When I first posted the picture, I incorrectly identified it as a copperhead.
